Between art & technology: the Vendu Rotterdam website made the switch to the Artisio auction system in Q1 of 2023. What does such a switch mean for the website? 2makeITwork supervised this transition for Vendu Rotterdam.

Modern auctioning

Vendu Rotterdam is one of the oldest auction houses in the Netherlands. They have been a loyal IT client of 2makeITwork for years, and in 2018 they also entrusted us with their web development. We created a fresh website for Vendu Rotterdam. Since 2023, Vendu Rotterdam has been using the software Artisio for their cataloguing and auctions, and 2makeITwork integrated this system into the existing website.

A fresh corporate identity
Vendu Rotterdam wanted a more modern look. That is why 2makeITwork developed a new corporate identity. We then built a WordPress website based on this new design.

Integration of auction system in website

Artisio is a stand-alone system, but Vendu Rotterdam wanted their own corporate identity in the system. So 2makeITwork ensured that the auction information was integrated into the existing website. This way, it looks like 1 system and buyers remain within the Vendu Rotterdam website.

Also available at peak times
During busy auctions, the auction system causes a high server load. The auctions are immensely popular! To prevent overloading, we have placed the Vendu Rotterdam website on a dedicated VPS. This private server is perfectly configured for the use of WordPress in combination with high loads from the many visitors.

Improving searchability

Our strengths lie in technology. That is why, together with a partner, we took the searchability of Vendu Rotterdam to a higher level. They provided an optimal structure, wrote SEO content and 2makeITwork arranged it technically in the website.
