ISO certified, because we care about quality
Since 2020, we’re officially certified for both ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 27001 (information security). With our integrated management system, we meet the requirements of both standards. This system helps us manage quality and information security across everything we do—making sure we comply with all relevant legal, business, and contractual security obligations.

Our timeline
We go way back! For 17 years, we have been passionately building smart IT solutions. What started with two people has now grown into a close-knit team of 19 colleagues, spread across two departments that work together seamlessly.

In the beginning...
2makeITwork was founded in 2008 in ‘s-Gravendeel. Michel and Gerben have worked together on various projects since 1997 and in 2008 decided to start for themselves. The goal of 2makeITwork will be to provide customized ICT solutions for various disciplines.
International business
2makeITwork went international for the first time in 2009, for an appointment in Birmingham to be exact. Several trips abroad followed in the following years. We work with big names in the international AGF market, traveling to England, Germany, Belgium, Dubai and South Africa to do so. We can also now be found abroad with regularity, for clients such as Dole and Greenyard.
From 's-Gravendeel to Rotterdam
2makeITwork runs like a train! We are moving to an office on the Vasteland in Rotterdam: a central location, easily accessible for our customers and employees. The customer base continues to expand. We have a wide variety of customers, from AGF to education and from retailers to auction houses. We have now doubled in size and are four people in the office.
Development of GRAS
In 2014, 2makeITwork kicked off the development of GRAS. GRAS is a custom software solution that allows children to register online for activities organized by municipalities and community schools. Activity providers can easily monitor data with this tool. GRAS is a product that we continue to develop and optimize, tailored to the needs of each individual customer.
2makeITwork and healthcare
In 2015, we are tapping into a new market: healthcare. Our first healthcare client is Maternity Care Rotterdam, a major player in our region. This tastes like more, both for us and from the healthcare industry, and we now have several (maternity) care organizations in our client base.
#2makeITmove
The company continues to grow and our office on the Mainland is bulging! We have more employees than offices and decide to move to Kratonkade in Rotterdam. Here we are remodeling and creating an open office with more than enough space for our (now 8) employees. What a space!
Development and metamorphosis QCNEXXT
QCNEXXT is a 2makeITwork product. First developed in 2012, QCNEXXT has continuously evolved over the years—shaped and improved by the custom needs of its users. In 2018, QCNEXXT underwent a major metamorphosis, both functionally and externally – and is now the most user-friendly QMS in the inspection landscape.

Accredited training company
We are happy to take on students for a part-time or graduate internship. Mentoring fresh, young employees gives us energy and inspiration. In 2020, our hard work will be rewarded with the title of “Recognized Training Company.”
ISO 9001 and ISO 27001
2020 was also the year of our ISO certifications. With the integrated management system, we manage the quality and information security aspects of our business operations and thereby comply with all relevant legal, business and contractual security obligations.

In mid-2020, we purchased our office building in Barendrecht. Meanwhile, we had outgrown our premises in Rotterdam and were moving to premises with more space. In December, our move to our building in Barendrecht took place.

In October 2025, we purchased our second office building in Barendrecht. After five years, we will grow out of our current location. Next year we will move to our new premises. But first… rebuild!
